Double-Winners at CCA
CLEVELAND Rock the House Entertainment Group and Sammy's
catering each collected two trophies Wednesday night at the third-annual
Connectors Choice Awards (CCA) celebration at the House of Blues-Cleveland.
Oakwood-based Rock the House, which celebrated its 10th anniversary
last year, earned the top honors as Best Entertainer and Best Staging/Video
company. Sammy's, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary
this year, exited the House of Blues as the Best Onsite Caterer and
Best Offsite Caterer.

CCA, this time as Northeast Ohio’s Best Offsite Caterer.
Twenty-one groups, individuals, and eventsall specific to
the local event-planning industry and networking communitywere
honored with CCA plaques. The winners were decided entirely by vote
of the readers of Cleveland Business Connects (CBC) Magazine. A record-total
of 1,948 ballots were cast between mid-November and Dec. 31, 2009.
With
a few dozen of its members chanting "Our Games Rock," the
Cleveland Synergy Foundation garnered the Best Event award for "Frivolity." The
July 31 event at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame helped attract the
2014 Gay Games to Cleveland.
Corporate College was represented twice
on the winner's podium. Employee Hugh Littleton was named the Best
Speaker/Facilitator, and the school earned Best Traditional Venue
honors.
Event Expo was tabbed the Best Networking Event of 2009 while
its two primary sponsors, Event Source and Team Promotions, also
won individual honors as Best Rental Company and Best Promotional/Corporate
Gift Company, respectively.
More than 400 business professionals attended
the CCA ceremony, which was sponsored by CBC, the Cleveland Indians,
Dollar Bank, Corporate College, Fred Baker Porsche Audi, Colortone
Staging and Rentals, John Robert's Spa, Allen Graphics, and the
House of Blues-Cleveland.
