Yes, this is the year we will wage a coordinated battle against trash!

Did you know that the special events industry is second only to construction and demolition in the amount of trash that is generated?

We will start small! Here are a few baby steps we have taken so far and that we suggest for our customers:

1. Only print the e-mails you have to. File e-mails electronically and try not to print.
2. Every morning, unwanted faxes sit at each fax machine, wasting paper and generating trash. What can you do? At the bottom of each fax is a phone number you can call to have your fax number automatically removed from their database. Take a moment and call the number. You will be asked to type in the area code and fax number, then hit the pound sign. You just saved a tree!
3. We don't need catalogs at home or work anymore because everything is on the internet. Yet, we have the postal carrier lug around catalogs and magazines that we waste time sorting through just to be put in the trash and hauled away. Please call the 800 number on the catalog or magazine and ask them to remove your name and address. It takes approximately nine weeks to be removed from the system. Here, we have saved a forest!
4. Visit the Direct Marketing Association online at www.the-dma.org to have your name put on the do not mail list.
